The Vehicular Rotary Tracker (RTGV) is a compact lightweight smart directional antenna system, specially designed as an aerodynamic payload for land/marine vehicles, which operate a long range wireless data links "on the move“.
The RTGV is a continuous single axis smart antenna positioner, which includes a circular polarized antenna assembled on a low profile azimuth axis controlled by an internal MCU.
The RTGV communicates with the host PC, and is capable of performing continuous automatic GPS pointing towards the tracked UAV/aircraft, and to maintain a stable and reliable RF link during vehicle's driving through rough terrains.
Vehicle's own GPS position and heading are dynamically analyzed by RTGV, while tracked UAV/aircraft's GPS position is dynamically provided to the RT by the host PC.
The system delivers an excellent RF performance, providing client's RF link with a dramatic increase in gain and improved link immunity to RF interferences and multipath propagation, compared to the traditional ground Omni-directional antennas.
